摘要：基于《太阳照常升起》对阳刚气质与阴柔气质的矛盾观念及其别具意味的数字形式，引入周易阴阳与数理观念，论证数字既是支撑海明威冰山美学的基础骨架，亦是文本意义的指向标。整一与纯阳定然在阴阳消长中出现缺陷与分裂，“一分为二”的排斥在“合二为一”的融合中才能获得可理解性。海明威以“三”作为形式美学基础，描写人与土地的关联，以求解困之道。以天地人三才观念观之，就是师法自然、融入天地大化的秩序。

Title: Numbers and Principles in Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises
Abstract: Drawing on the contradictory conceptions of masculinity and femininity in The Sun Also Rises and its numerologically significant formal structures, the article introduces the I Ching’s concepts of Number (shu) and Principle (li) to argue that numbers serve as both the structural backbone underpinning Hemingway’s iceberg aesthetic and as signposts of textual meaning. Oneness or pure yang gives way to division amid the interplay of yin and yang; the opposition of “one dividing into two” attains intelligibility only through the reconciliation of “two merging into one.” Hemingway employs the number “three” as the formal-aesthetic foundation through which he depicts the relationship between human and the land, seeking therein a way out of existential predicament. Viewed through the lens of the Sancai (heaven, earth, and human), the path of resolution lies in emulating the natural order and immersing oneself in the transformative processes of heaven and earth.
